- 21st May 2008 - Exhibition Opening
Here's a few photos (see below) from the opening at LaLaOrange... the show place for the recent Clothespeg Exhibition I'm involved in.
You can see it was pretty packed out this evening. I dragged a friend along - who met me there. She was quite interested, but didnt much care for La La's fashion range, which is her thing and thought the clothes and bags were all a bit daggy, lol. I never noticed :P It's an exhibit Gayle, look at the artworks! hehe
So yes, there were many amazing pieces, quite stunning. There was a wide range of works as usual. My favourite's were by Peter Long who had one of his pieces displayed on the invite. Another one I loved was a gorgess yet haunting drawing of a little girl by Alexandra Lekias.
We didn't stay long, it was too small a venue to hang around, so all in all we were there about 30 minutes. I bumped into Megan Isabella there. Her piece looked very nice and Ali J's looked gorgess as always and I believe had a red sticker on it before I left. Quick quick quick!

Clothespeg Project 2008
Good news! Good news! I have just received word, that from what I've submitted, I've been accepted to participate. I have 3 pieces entered and I can't wait to find out which one was selected! 2 are quite colourful and 1 is a plain ink sketch. I will share soon with you all on the results of this soon!
If you're living in Perth then come along to the opening at LaLaOrange to view all the entrants submissions, which will be brilliant no doubt! The exhibition is open from between May 21 and June 21st. It's a wonderful event, with only A5, portrait style pieces being accepted and pinned to the wall with little clothespegs holding them in place - it's very cleverly laid out and the judging round for selection of the artists being chosen for the 2nd exhibition was - "highly competitive" with only 90 spaces available for selection.
